Growing in faith and love through worship, discipleship, and service.

Children - Children's Small Group

Small Groups: The class movement was an important part of John Wesley's Methodist movement in England when he began his search for a deeper holiness for himself and his flock.  We at First UMC also believe that small groups are an important part of developing spiritual depth and for keeping accountability with peers.

Wednesday's Group:  This small group began as two.  We had hoped for a girl's group and a boy's group, but we began meeting together as a group of 4-5 kids and 2 leaders - and have just stayed that way.  We study different ideas, do service projects, and laugh a lot.  We really like to have snacks and always pray before we leave.

We range in grade level from 5th - 7th grades and are split pretty evenly between girls and boys.  We meet at 4pm in room 206, and go until dinner at 5:30.  Visitors are welcome to come to this group, but please call Kate Meacham first- as we sometimes have field trips planned!  This group is led by Joseph Bonner and Kate Meacham.

We hope to add more small group as there is interest.
