CFM - Earth Day Festival Opportunities

 

First UMC Oak Ridge began Oak Ridge's Earth Day festivals on our own front lawn many years ago.  Linda Johnston's passionate leadership grew it larger than our lawn could handle - and the venue moved across the street to it's current home.  We still sponsor the event through monetary donations - but many of us support it with our service.  We would like you to consider supporting Earth Day with your service too!

 

The Earth Day Festival will be held on Saturday April 28th, 2012 at the Oak Ridge Civic Center grounds.

 

 

Children and Family Ministries: We're hosting a booth where children can plant seeds in recycled paper egg cartons to take home.

 

First Steps CDC: We're hosting a few water tables filled with seed to play in.  You can also pick up your registration packet for the 2012-2013 school year!

 

Volunteer for the Festival: Contact member Joan Nelson to offer your services to the festival organizers.  Many services needed!
