We believe that people can encounter the Living God in a wide variety of worship settings and styles, which acknowledges the unique human beings that God created us to be.
Sundays 8:45am and 11:00am, Sanctuary
In traditional worship you can expect to hear organ or piano music, to sing hymns, and to be led by the youth choir at 8:45 or the chancel choir at 11:00. Pastors wear robes and children help to acolyte (bring in the Light of Christ) and be crucifer (carry the cross in during the processional hymn) .
Sundays 11:00am, Multipurpose Room
Our Contemporary Service, held in the Multipurpose Room, is a nontraditional worship experience incorporating modern worship music led by a live band of guitars, drums, keyboard, and vocals as well as preaching that digs deep into Scripture and its relevance for our daily lives. The atmosphere is casual and inviting—with adults dressed in a little bit of everything, kids dancing in the aisles, videos on the screens, and cups of coffee in hands throughout the room!
Both services offer communion on the first Sunday of each month. You do not need to be a member of the church to receive communion.
Child care is provided free of charge for children in kindergarten and younger on the lower floor of the church.
FUMC offers various prayer services throughout the day built around the ancient monastic canonical hours. These short services are located in the chapel and include prayers, psalms, scripture, and singing. All are welcome to join for any of the services. You are encouraged to call the church before to make sure these services are happening each day or visit the calendar page to make sure.
