Community Meal and Food Pantry

Hello Church!

There is need all around us and frustration that we can’t “get out and help”.

Here’s another stay at home mission we’d love for you to be a part of.

As you know, our church community drive thru has increased its frequency to every Wednesday, changed to a drive thru/ social distancing concept and is now serving more community meals than ever. Last week we served over 230 meals and ran out before the last person was served.

We’d like to be able to offer a small food bag of staples to the families that do not get a meal that evening.

Here is where you come in. We are having a one time food drive.

1. Before April 23rd, next time you are ordering your groceries or doing your weekly shopping, please consider buying extra of the following. Please DO NOT make a special trip out for these items- make this a part of your regularly scheduled routine.

Requested Food items:

peanut butter

boxed mac & cheese

canned meats

canned beans/vegetables/fruit

other non perishables

*notes of encouragement

*pictures from kids

2. Deliver your food to the Vienna Road Entrance- no need to call ahead.

Monday, April 20th or 27th 8 AM -11 AM

Tuesday, April 21st or 28th 8AM-11AM Wed, April 22nd 8AM-11AM or 2PM-4PM.

Ring the bell and place the food on the provided table.

We can pick it up from your front porch on Thursday, April 23rd.

If you want pick-up, call Danielle at the church 483-4357 or notify Nancy Kile at FNPKILE@COMCAST.NET . Let us know your name, address and contact information.

On Thursday, April 23rd, place your items outside your front door and someone will come by and pick them up. Please, resist the urge to be social- DO NOT meet at the door or come outside. Do smile, wave, blow kisses and dance from behind your window. We miss you too!

3. The collected items will be sorted into bags for the Community Meal distribution.

Thank you, Church!
