Have you ever wanted to ask a pastor?

What it is like to interpret a Bible passage for a future sermon? Well, begin-ning on May 1st you can! Chris Black will begin hosting a weekly informal Bible study called “Methodical” on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm in the Fellow-ship Hall. The class will meet during youth choir and right before our weekly adult choir rehearsal. This is an ongoing class.

The group will discuss (and even wrestle with) the preaching passages for the upcoming Sunday morning alongside Chris. There will be an opportunity to deeply engage with the context of the scriptures…all while contemplating them in light of our current cultural, social, religious, and even political climate. Chris will guide the group to use the tools of the Wesleyan Quadrilateral (Scripture, Tradition, Experience, and Reason) to engage with the Bible more deeply. All are welcome for what promises to be a fun, different, and interesting conversation each week! If you have questions about the class, please contact Chris Black at
