Hygiene Kits for UMCOR

Again this year, FUMC will be sending a team of volunteers to donate a week of their time to Sager Brown. The team needs help from FUMC members to fill the 150 Hygiene Kits they want to take with them. These kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. 49,836 Hygiene Kits have been shipped out this year to states hit hard by mother nature. These include Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Texas. Filling a kit is easy. Just visit the “Collection Area” next to the main church office and find the basket marked SAGER BROWN. On top of that basket are bags with instructions detailing what is needed. Shop! Then return the filled bag to the same basket. If you do not want or cannot shop, then a donation of $13 will cover the cost of the items. To make a donation, just write a check to FUMC, note SAGER BROWN in the memo and give to the church or drop in the offering plate. Call either Joye Montgomery, 483-6956 or Vicki Hinkel, 482-3931 with questions.
